About Us

Hello Speech Solutions is a minority, women-owned, speech-language pathology company dedicated to serving the children and adults of our diverse community.

Our mission is to empower children and adults in finding and utilizing their communication skills in order to interact with others, developing appropriate oral skills for speaking and feeding, achieving a level of comfort and liberties, and strengthening cognitive connections to navigate their environment.

We appreciate trust and integrity in the relationships that we cultivate. With you involved in the therapy process, we aim to nurture abilities, functional needs, and goals to elevate your loved one’s desire to participate in their day-to-day activities.

We value diversity and inclusion. We respect differences in age, gender and sexuality, ethnicity, education, race, religion, and physical/mental abilities among all individuals and families. Hello Speech Solutions strives to share in the responsibility to create a positive culture, safeguard dignity, and recognize that our differences make us stronger.

Our Care Team

Faye Arbues, M.A., CCC-SLP, QOM

Faye Arbues is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist and licensed in both California and New York. She was born in the Philippines and immigrated to America at 7 years of age, only speaking very little English. Faye is a graduate of UC Berkeley and St. John’s University. She is passionate about ensuring that her families receive meaningful (and the best quality) care. Her work has been in both children and adults’ (re)habilitation of cognition, communication, and feeding and swallowing skills. She has a demonstrated history in medically-fragile and complex pediatric cases, Early Intervention, language disorders, phonological/ articulation disorders, feeding challenges (specifically texture progression and picky eaters) and dysphagia, and myofunctional therapy. Her experience extends into the adult population with dementia, Parkinson’s, traumatic brain injury (TBI), aphasia, and dysphagia.

She is a 4-time ACE Award recipient – an honor given to SLPs who achieve 70 hours of continuing education in a 3-year period – and a mentor to graduate students, CFs, and SLPAs to increase diversity in the field. She is a QOM-certified (Qualified Orofacial Myology) myofunctional therapist. She hopes to become BCS-S (Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing) through her clinical work in dysphagia; she is FEES competent and MBSImp certified. Outside of work, Faye enjoys immersing herself in other cultures by traveling, dog/cat sitting for her friends, visiting with family and friends, reading, and boxing, pilates, and yoga. This year, she really wants to learn how to surf and keep her plants alive!

Tricia Ignacio, M.A., CCC-SLP

Tricia Ignacio is a California native that graduated from UC Irvine and St. John’s University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as a California State License as a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist. She has a wide array of experiences working with Early Intervention, language disorders, speech sound/articulation disorders, fluency disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the clinic, in home, outpatient rehabilitation, teletherapy, and school settings. Tricia enjoys working with all age groups across the lifespan. She is PROMPT+ and Hanen It Takes Two to Talk trained, which helps better address disorders such as Apraxia of Speech and Autism. Tricia is also experienced with assessing and treating nonverbal and low-verbal clients with AAC low-tech and high-tech devices.

Prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist, Tricia worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist working on behavior support of children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism. She is most passionate about helping children (particularly those with Autism, intellectual disability, or special needs) find their voice to communicate and interact with their world in a meaningful way. During her free time, she loves to travel and explore new places, try thrill-seeking activities, spend time with friends and family, workout, and read.

"Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much." - Helen Keller

Faye and Tricia met in graduate school at St. John’s University. Both California-transplants in New York City, they quickly became friends and shared their passions for traveling and helping children and families. With 14 years of experience collectively, they united to address the disparity in access to high-quality speech-language services. Hello Speech Solutions strives to better serve the community they have grown to love and protect.
